Some people want diamonds,
while others want cars.
I want a galaxy named after me,
and my footprint on Mars.
Hi. I don’t have a contact page but feel free to email me directly if you’d like to reach out for any reason. My email is poe.eternal@yahoo.com
I served in the United States Army as a combat medic and a transportation mangager honorably for 15 years plus a war. I deployed as a combat medic in 2003 to Kuwait then Iraq for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom with my unit the 212th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH). We were the last MASH in the Army. My unit was the first and only hospital available for the first 19 days of war. We stayed in the desert for months, my little unit treated not only American soldiers, but Iraqi POW’s and Iraqi civilians including children who got shot by their own people. We even took supplies of our own food and water into the villages where they had not even electricity. My time in war could take up an entire book so I will keep it short. I will say we did a lot of good and the Iraqis were grateful for us being there. I was a highly skilled medic for many years, until I reclassed in the Army and got a second MOS/job. I then transitioned into transportation management and received a job working for the Department of Defense. While serving in the Army, I was also a civilian employee for the DOD. I served in the Army honorably for 15 years before finally calling it quits after my body had become completely broken (my mind too).
While working those two jobs, I was a single parent also going to college full time where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. My child is now grown and I am coming to terms with empty nest syndrome. I have never been married nor do I ever plan to do so (sorry not sorry but marriage isn’t what it’s cracked up to be). I actually prefer my freedom and I spent many years, too many years, trying to make dead end relationships work. I want to spend my last few years, however long I have left, being free. I’m not interested in dating, I just want to write. Before I transitioned out of the Army and Department of Defense I had begun working on degree number 2 which was an Associate of Arts in creative writing. I was only a few classes away before I had to drop out for financial reasons. By the end of degree number 2, I had left the Army and DOD government work to pursue my real dream of writing. I self-published a poetry book over a decade ago, I’ve been writing poetry since I was a little girl with the dream of being a writer. But life got in the way. I survived the best way I could. I don’t have much time left on Earth but I still have a lot to say. I’ve lived more lives in my short years than many do in 80. I can be a bit crass, I don’t tolerate bullshit of any kind. But I’m actually a very sweet and loving person. I just don’t let many in. I have iron walls up. For good reason. If you do enjoy my writing, it would be amazing if you would join my writing campaign, that way I get to keep writing and eat. You can support me on Patreon at www.patreon.com/poeeternal (I’d much rather you join my campaign than buy my book). There is a lot more to me than what is written here and I’ve achieved much more than what’s on these pages. I love to travel and have lived all over the world, including nearly 3 years in Germany. England is one of my favorite places to visit and I’ve been a few times in my life. My most recent trips were to Canada and Ireland in 2015. I haven’t had the funding to travel in some time, but I have hope that I will again one day. Thanks for checking out my blog!
There is a PDF that exists about my unit during deployment, written by the officers I deployed with. Due to Geneva conventions and laws, certain things cannot be discussed. But you will get information on what we did while there, treatments, etcetera. It’s worth checking out if you are interested in history. It was a very challenging time in my life but I could not have deployed with a better group of soldiers. Once a Soldier, always a Soldier, HOOAH. (I can’t get the PDF link to work now, I’ll try to sort it later). Here’s a cool YouTube video while I was in the unit, I appear in a couple spots.

If you don’t mind me asking. How long have you been into experimental music? Now, by experimental are you also into electronic harsh noise?

You really have a tatto below your eyebrow(forgot the name of that part of the body)? Ouch, that hurts, I have several tatoos but I´m not putting a needle near my eye even if they pay me

No it’s just removable eye tattoo makeup… no tats on my face.

You didn’t look good enough. I dropped out in Round 2. Passed all my medical exams and everything. They still have a profile of me. There should be a little hyperlink in the poem.

HAHA I won’t be going anytime soon. I dropped out of the competition for personal reasons but this is for the first group anyway. Honestly I wouldn’t want to be one of the first four. They still have all my support though. 🙂

I backed out of the competition for personal reasons, the person I had a kid with died. Mars One intends to send a total of 16 people to live on Mars. Your sarcasm is toxic.

I’m not still in the running but the hyperlink works and that’s my official Mars One profile, I have the official candidate badge and everything.

Haha I dream really big I guess! I was in the candidacy for Mars One (if you click on Mars on the poem it will take you to my official candidacy profile! As a nerd, it feels really good to say I applied to go live on Mars and actually made it into round two until I had to drop out for personal reasons BUT this is to just send the first 4 out of 16, so my dreams haven’t ended! Nice to meet you!! 😊
