Let’s both jump from this boat
There’s a chance we may get hurt
But darling it will if we don’t

I live on an island of a dream
My joy is his trajectory
His eyes are the only skies I need
His love is the only fruit I eat
I taste him in seasons
I kiss him in the trillions
I lean on the shoulders of meaning
I cling to the shores of his breathing
I rest my plight in the palm of his hand
For his every touch is the promise land
And it’s finally a journey I can understand
For this is the mission fate had planned
And on and on and on we go together
Every step with you I’m feeling better
Every hug from you feels like my shelter
Hurting you is never in the weather

Well there it is, the color of truth
It matches all the hues of you
You evoke in me the spirit of youth
And shadows dance amongst you too
Wherever you smile an enemy withdrew
Flower power any hour in your avenue

He looks at me and I exist
I form curves
The air in my lungs thicker
Wings for floating
Thoughts are clearer
I see beauty
I feel as a cloud
Ethereal and living
Pain is forgiven
Depression isn’t winning
Reasons for breathing
I breathe in divinity
I taste love

I set sail for islands made of hope banded together by the echoes of his voice guiding me like starlight.

Do you know what it’s like to cut the cord on your dream?
Though it isn’t just a dream from sleep
But one from awakening
It is a lifeline to your fate
The weight of consequence
Feels like an ocean
As you’re sinking
There are moments you want to swim back up
Fleeting moments of reason
Caught in a net of fishing line
More struggle
No you have to sink deep
Feel the pressure in your chest
The anxiety, the agony, the sorrow
You want to take a deep breath
It would be your very last
Panic. Now regret. Doubt.
Peace will come again.
As soon as my pocket knife cuts this cord
And I race to ascend
The light my friend
A reasonable decision
Air in my lungs again
Pain lessening
You were dead weight.
An anchor in my soul.
I swim towards finality.
I’ve made it to the lighthouse.
You are a memory I drowned away.
And I nearly drowned with it.
You would have been the last thought on my mind.
As you were always on my mind.
Unrequited love.
A pain I hope to never know again.
As I crawl off the shores of a dream that died.
I am never looking back.

All my plans haven’t gone away
They’ve really just been delayed
People they fret I can’t explain
They all just sort of strayed
It’s not my style to beg or plead
I sometimes require aid
They all want something from me
I have nothing for trade
Many years spent on this journey
Every direction came a grenade
You tell a different story
That isn’t the life that you portrayed
Why do you get all the glory
While I’m prisoner in this stockade
No need for you to hurry
My heart rotted and decayed

Conversations you’d rather have with somebody else
Written so many lines there’s none even left
I wish this pain could be stored on a shelf
Left with a label for another to regret
No expiry date, no value for theft
Just a community chest for the depressed

I don’t know if this will get through to you
I don’t know that I can quilt the right words
If these were last moments I’d run out of fuel
Now’s a good time to listen while still
Surrounded by people, unsound energies accrue
Negative actions come at you in herds
They’ll tell you a diamond doesn’t start out a jewel
Poisoned so slowly you never feel ill
Whispers and laughters “we know you’ll pull through”
On and on it’s always pain you move towards
I guess I’d want you to know you are cruel
For inviting me to climb then kicking me downhill

It’s going to keep coming around and around it keeps going
Over and over these lessons harden and are gaining speed and growing
You’d think by now we’d get it, but these lessons keep on flowing
It’s different now but maybe it would have been better never knowing
Nothing will ever hide these wrinkles on my forehead from showing
There might have been a warning when he heard the bird crowing
Damn, you see, it’s just another universal omen
But is he aware that time for me is gradually slowing
These lessons, these lessons keep on coming
These lessons, these lessons keep on coming

OLD PHOTO, NEW POEM!
‘DETAINED’ by @poeeternal
He makes me want to sin
But it’d be heaven I contend
The way his words move under my skin
I’d fall for him again and again
I once made my amend
While feeling silence closing in
If only there were more moments to spend
Would he care the places I’ve been?
His silence tortures me
From a bird to a parolee
His energy is beastly
I’d stay in jail, be his detainee
Satisfaction is guaranteed
But there are obstacles to oversee
Invitations with no addressee
His heart is like an Oak tree

I know these are highlights of your life
And wintry inside feels the knife
I’ve never owned a set of pearls
There’s been at least a thousand girls
Tomorrow seems so different now
You lied when you gave me your vow
I can be a terrible friend
I’d take a bullet for you in the end
Only want to marry once
40 years now gone, I’ve lost patience

Sometimes come around now & then
It’s hard to forget all the places that I’ve been
I’d rather face the crowd than live a life of pretends
Living an honest life are the roads few transcends
And we both know those aren’t the type of parties he attends
There’s plenty evil in the world for people to defend
And this is where our story must come to an end
But in the future please pick better friends

I’m sorry I’ve been absent of late… I took a trip to Ireland for the first time! Here is a collage of some of my shots!
