It wasn’t the lettuce

It was the nefarious neighbor

Who used the lettuce pandemic as prime time to attack

She kept offering me food

I got real sick

Started out like food poisoning

Almost died

After 48 hours I was still sick

Thought it was covid 19 affecting only my gut (plus the migraine and throwing up)

6 weeks I had number 3

Now the doctor sending me in for cancer tests

FINE maybe IM being paranoid

But the neighbor said she was gonna do what she was gonna do like she done it before

Did that “nurse” feed me rat poison

Found it odd this time she specifically asked “did you eat your food”

I didn’t want to lie and say “no”

“Why? You got more? I still got a plate. It was a big plate”

I tossed it out, never ate a bite

Didn’t like the smell

Wasn’t sure if the food or something in her household was making me sick

UNTIL NOW

it clicked

Since she “knew what to do”

And the patient she was caring for recently died

Sure call me paranoid

BUT WHAT IF I AM RIGHT
