Where do you go when you leave me?
Rushing with spiraling arms deceiving
Past the shallows, into the shadows receding
I feel you bleeding
Moody, violent thunderstorms in your wake
I watch lightning shatter dream into heartache
Am I all that you forsake?
Is regret the road we take?
You fill the galaxy with longing
Eternal calming
With people falling
Earth formed from fawning (and we’re still falling)

I found the spoken word Heavens Gate from here and enjoyed it immensely, interesting idea to play guitar chords behind a spoken word poem, added extra layers and turned it into a performance piece

I’m a huge fan of improv and The Doors! I actually fingerpick guitar and do poetry but it’s harder for me. I wish I had a band! Thank you for listening and for the feedback, it’s greatly appreciated! ๐
