Your words
Sink 36,000 feet below
Where I bestow
Feathers from your mantel
Flowers for your candle
A simple “hello”
There was a time
I trip-mined
Over our demise
Trenches filled with water
Worries fell to slaughter
But you were still mine
Like golden arrows
Muskets for the scarecrows
Love found in the narrows
I wonder how deep we go?

A profound and melancholic poem, navigating between love and loss with beautiful imagery. It feels like a descent into the depths of emotion.
Have a great week.
