Hell (poetry)

Things I keep unpacking
I’m moving or I’m not
Got love stored in a box
Hell is a paradox
Just like my life then
I’m alive but not a lot

Finalized my living will and directives
Burning every bridge I know
I’ve got objectives
YOU ARE UNRECEPTIVE

I’m dead inside
So there won’t be a spark
If that is what you are after
Then you shouldn’t kill the laughter

A tongue to spit out the devil’s name (rhyming poetry)

Oh Worthless Shepherd
Don’t believe a single word
Words are just a spell or curse
Don’t belong in any herd

Oh Son of Destruction
Number one in corruption
Is it sin or seduction
Underneath what I’ve done

Oh Master of Intrigue
Teacher of fatigue
Say you don’t need me
As you lay bleeding

Oh Prince is Coming
Still first at running
Every face so cunning
Kick you out every morning

Oh Despicable Person
Only know to worsen
Hide behind a curtain
Minions every version

Oh Man of Lawlessness
No soul you do possess
Below no consciousness
You guessed I loved you less

Oh Abomination
Reduce the population
Then call it innovation
No room for variation

Oh Beast
It looks you’ve met defeat
My soul released
God has called me east

And how many names of the devil do you know? Drop some he goes by below or tag me in a poem! ✍️

Where

Do you recall
When you were lost
In purgatory of the loss
So numb in the dark
No light or a spark
How much I cared?

If you remember
I held your crown
I took your cross
Through the desert and across
All your sins at no costs
Though your pain has been shared

If you flush your eyes
Stop looking down
Where your heart knows holocaust
Clear the fog and the frost
Find your soul where I’m embossed
And stop asking where

Tell Me When He Dies

I’m never looking back but I’m waiting for the echoes of cries and ringing of bells for when his death arrives

I’ve been sneaking through the halls of hell, dashing through the crowds and veils, it’s a wonder any hope survives

I’ve been bruised by thickets and hell’s prickly fences, the endless casting of spells, preying with fevor and with any luck by sunrise

Mostly wandering lost, decorating diamonds on cells, and the chances we are given are none, there’s no way to revise

I get lost in the feeding, the crying and the frenzy, the height of their yells, his existence I still fully despise

We’re on towers burning bridges, losing hours and our riches, our heads spinning like carousels, but I can see through disguise

Heartless and uncaring, the wounds from his carving, I’m impatient and I’m starving, but hell he dwells, just tell me when he dies

This poem is a multiple rhyme scheme. It has a weird flow.

(My ex is sometimes sneaking around here tho I’ve gone no contact, he’s a narcissist demon spawn from hell).

A Visit From Lu Part 4

I don’t know how but it slipped my mind
And the devil’s first trick was well designed
I guess purgatory belongs to mankind
A week now has passed that I cannot rewind

He checked his watch, it must be a quarter past 3
And it’s been 2 days now he hasn’t heard from me
And for a change he turned on that dusty TV
In hopes to scramble thoughts he had been thinking

And somewhere in that tube the news was all the same
There’s chaos in the streets and the devil is to blame
There’s violence in the feed and no one feels ashamed
Repentance is for souls the devil can’t reclaim

The scientists claim that it is global warming
The bible warned God brought down the flooding
Revelations hint of a second coming
The devil bets the world thinks God is bluffing

He takes a shot of whiskey while changing the channel
The voices mumble ‘there’s nothing we can’t handle’
And now the weather is showing that flights are cancelled
But none of these things can take his mind off his angel

He checks again his computer and phone
He’s tried a hundred times her location is unknown
And he feels the worry sink into his bone
Her last message sent said she wasn’t alone

To be continued!?!

Oh my goodness, if you are an atheist, I am in no way trying to convert you and if you are religious this is in no way factual, it’s just fantasy. And if I can get to where I’m going with it, it’s an end of the world love story with themes of angels and devils and humans and whatever other stuffs I dream up. So far there’s at least four characters in the story, if you were to count technology as an entity (the tv voices, clocks/time, etc) and there’s a particular mood and tone and flow I am trying to keep throughout, not to mention I’m attempting this in poetry format, with some 24 lines each chapter/part (6/4). PHEW, IT’S TUFFS. (And I see people get likes on post that say nothing at all but skip giving me any praise for attempting something meaningful). We all run the same halls in hell. Whatev. If you like cool, if you don’t oh well. I still put up effort all the same. 👍✌

*It’s really scary me sharing this stuff, anything I do, I feel raw and exposed and inadequate as is, there’s always that fear of failure, that it isn’t good enough*

A Visit From Lu Part 3

Lu entered my door bringing despair
He had it gift wrapped for extra flair
He covered it in agony to make it look rare
He had a look of concern but I know he didn’t care

So there we were both grinning –
Like in a game of chess but the devil’s always winning
The only hand I play is a joker never sinning
The only life I live is the one I’m never living

As Lu drew nearer he sat upon my table
Like an uninvited guest who should leave but isn’t able
And I am starting to feel very unstable
But my doubt only makes Lu more grateful (and we sat there through April)

Now the window shows that it is winter
And the fear is growing in my center
And all this doubt makes my tongue bitter
The devil got under me without lifting a finger

It’s like if I move a piece I’ll open Pandora’s box
And you know the devil can crawl just watch how he talks
And you know the devil can dance just watch how he walks
And you know the devil is purgatory just watch all the clocks

I’m damned if I do and I’m damned if I don’t
Whatever move, Lu will condone
He is a step ahead, anytime I’m wrong
How do you knock a devil off of a throne

To be continued!?!

Oh my goodness, 3 was a challenge! Notice how the devil seems to be moving his way throughout my house/life in this series? The underlining theme in chapter 3 is depression (purgatory). As well as, how we need to be careful about the choices we make in life. I didn’t set out for it to be this way, it’s just how the story developed. I hope you likey (the 5th stanza is my favorite)! 😊

A Visit From Lu

I guess you could say we are acquainted
We had similar falls, our wings are tainted
But now I am older and my sins have faded
And though it’s been decades, Lu has gladly waited

He knows I don’t like him coming around these quiet parts
But that doesn’t stop Lu from having a heart-to-heart
He may own the land but I have the right to depart
But the places I am going, may require some charts

He never knocks, he just enters the room
And my temperament goes from glad to gloom
The air gets colder as it’s filled with doom
I turn away and mumble, “I don’t wanna talk with you”

Lu takes a seat and starts whistling, “What I’m about to tell you might be chilling”
As I was headed to the door proudly not listening,
Lu started hissing

My step slowed and nearly faltered
From the snake gripping down under
And now the moment felt awkward
As I wondered this time what Lu offered

The thing we had most in common was our grin
Which is odd, given that, it should be sin
But when it comes to purity, I’m the best that’s ever been
And I heard him hissing “favorite” with the moonlight shining in (he’s at it again)…

To be continued…!?!

Tower of Sorrow

I am stranded in a tower of sorrow and I think I might need saving –

from the curse of a broken heart –
and how he left me alone in the dark –
but even worse drove a metaphorical spear into my side –
ensuring that my spirit died –
ensuring heaven was denied

Put a moat around my tears and get this blackness out of here

I am at the tower of sadness
Every hour in this madness

Dark Alleyway

He appeared, blue eyes to match his mood
Words delayed but mostly understood
Darkness his dagger and his hood
Carrying a cross longer than one should

And then I followed him, into his alleyway
Despite my better judgment, I followed anyway
Plunged into a world of darkness, it’s been my darkest day
A pool of doubt seems to be the only way
It’s warmer where he does appear, I feel him like a sunray
