His absence begs me to go
His disinterest tells me so
His eyes I long to know
Feels like I already though
His existence set me aglow
His silence so loud I woke
His sorrow so heavy he broke
His darkness so thick I choke
Our souls twisted together like oak
I am doing my best to climb up
His words like incantations evoke
For who these pages I devote
Into these rhymes which are wrote
My love for him is the most

Definitely a devoted and spirited read…… maybe a song… the one I’m listening to now….

I actually do want to write some chords for it on my guitar – a bad habit – mixing from poem to song – but I allow myself ultimate freedom when writing. David Gilmour says he can write a guitar solo with his tongue, I’m not that good. LOL

I think it’s great concept…. Leonard Cohen’s “Villanelle For Our Time”, is a lovely example….
