Bless his heart ๐
I’M NOT GETTING IN THE OCEAN. EVERY TIME I GO TO THE BEACH THERE ARE RED FLAGS. IF YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND MY FEAR, WATCH THE PINNED VIDEO ON MY TIKTOK.
I DON’T WANT TO DROWN. I DON’T WANT TO DIE.
JUST STAY HOME. CAN’T EVEN GO FOR A BIKE RIDE WITHOUT NEARLY DYING.
GOD IS TRYING TO KEEP ME SAFE
I have the WORST fear of drowning
I’m scared of all bodies of water, sometimes including my bath tub.
DEATH IS EVERYWHERE

It’s dangerous here!! I’m terrified as fuck to go swim in that strong current! The flags are rarely amber or green! He was found floating a mile away!!! I’ve been wanting to go hang at the beach – especially THIS weekend – but woke up to this news.
I can get sun at the parks. Less folks too.

Dreadful that he lost his life. Those currents will have anyone away with their strength. The park sounds the best place. Stay safe.

And I’m still not allowed to drive on the sand so I can’t park there or feel safer

And they were swimming past lifeguard duty, so lifeguards had gone home. They went out “one more time” and lost sight of him returning to shore. They called 911 but search gave up looking at 9 pm due to visibility. He was found an hour later one mile away floating in the ocean. They tried to perform CPR and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
His little life now over.

The ocean here is dangerous! That’s why I’m so scared of it and won’t go for a swim. The currents are too strong.

We have one here that is like that, too many rips and cross currents.

People make fun of me for being scared of the tides, despite the flags flying red. ๐

Better to be safe than sorry I say, no one is laughing when tragedy strikes, especially when warnings have been ignored.

I don’t know if they ignored any warnings, but lifeguards were off duty when it happened.
If you’re gonna swim, best to do so during lifeguard duty hours.
He was 14. ๐
It was after sundown really. 8pm. When the sharks come out.
NOT THE BEST HOURS TO SWIM.
Not victim blaming – just think he wasn’t around people who had his best interest
My parents were always first to push me into harm
I’ve also done A LOT of stupid shit that should have got me killed and I was always with the wrong group of “friends”
2 adults recently drowned in a cave, they surfaced once but then decided to “go back”. Both drowned.
And that seems to be a reoccurring trend, going back for another round that does them in.
