what’s beyond the ice wall?
linear perspective?
pools lined with lead?
the cost of my own rescue?
how many go in debt too?
like walking backwards off a cliff
trash and bodies at the bottom of a pit
i’m not crawling through tight spaces
i’m not pulling cards with aces
like living beneath the earth
poor people eating with polished silver
mausoleum’s topped with lead coffins
the garden of forgotten
there’s hope on the other side
a promise of genocide
like an ambush predator
i’m creating her
optical perspective
i respect it
like a highway of death
wear motto on chest
oh mother flat earth
what have you unearthed
the edge of the ocean
some say is frozen
just like our energy
a comet disappearing
headed for the sun
got a loaded gun
a horizontal plane
living in the fast lane
believing every claim
a wedding reception
oh the deception
you know they all cheat
their energy is weak
no it’s not a disk
or a worthy risk
to feel the edge of your kiss
got a different death wish
he knows I love him but can’t get close
the devil knows the most
like looking in the mirror
the demons getting clearer
he’d sacrifice a lamb to get ahead
he is full of lead
like pursuing a dead end
or calling devil friend
your heart is full of crevasses
i fall into the dark
like meeting someplace heaven is
a journey to embark
or peeling back the layer of an onion –
i guess we are done then?
you know i can’t cut the cord?
i’m handing you the sword…
