If I were capable, I would build him a boat,
He could sail through the storms, I seem to evoke.
He could cruise through the wind, and never lose hope,
And the distance we keep, would not feel so remote.

If I were capable of obtaining perfection,
In the mirror, he would see my reflection.
If he could believe, that he made a connection,
Maybe he could see, I am trying to change my complexion.

If I were able, to shorten the distance,
A home in me, would appear into existence.
He could visit me, at this very instance,
And the safety he seeks, would never go missing.

If secrets we keep, would be less of a burden,
I would reach into where he seems to keep hurting.
I would pay with my life, to open his curtain,
And the life that he seeks, would not be uncertain.
