Dear Edgar, tell me, what is it you would do?
Did your love make you a prisoner, too?
You crafted her poems and she loved you,
But that doesn’t work for me, no matter what I do.

Dear Poe, you were a cryptologist, you can solve this code?
The answer must be hidden, but the window has narrowed.
He keeps his soul hidden, where none have burrowed,
But ever since I found him, time has simply slowed.

I suppose he would die of a drunken, broken heart, naked and broke on the streets. Feels vaguely familiar…

  6. POE forever haha. I am not Edgar in the poem, him and I just have a lot of similarities in our real life and it feels a bit Deja Vu sometimes lol. PoeEternal is a pseudo name I came up with, I needed a penname and hashtag to hide under. I live and breathe poetry, and so the name represents my love for poetry and for Poe. I have some of his unpublished words tattooed on my rib cage, albeit, I guess they are published now. I didn’t realize at the time that the love of his life was his cousin, I might have thought secondly about the tattoo. I’m definitely not into incest. At all. In any manner or fashion. He’s just my favorite writer. Next to Jim Morrison. I dig my penname though, I thought hard on it actually. Poetry for People was what I named my book but it was completely overused. I needed something original and my own. 🤓
