Have you ever fed on hope
The way you spoon it to me in soft crescent words
I’ve seen your shadow dancing in twilight
I wake for your golden hour
Any hour
Melting into sunrises
You lower heaven on my shoulder
So I can skip through its halls and miss prayer
Watch how my hope crosses dimensions to find you resting at my feet
We are nesting on a great divide
Where dreams are real life
Hearts a multiverse
Parts of my soul where you left claw marks
Sacred holy landmarks
I pray to you

I know this is none of my business, and you are free to say so. I just cannot help but wonder, does he read your verses and understand your pain? How can his heart not break from this?

I’m always terrified to share my non-rhyme so I appreciate the feedback greatly! π
